The legendary singer Jerry Lee Lewis was on the 6th of March in Istanbul. It was a concert organized by Bronx Production and our fan club ElvisTurk was invited, too. We also had the honor to give him a plaque thanking him for the contribution to Rock'n'Roll music. The venue was the Hilton Convention Center and it was standing room only. We were glad to see many of our members there and to talk to some famous music people of our country.

The musicians of his group came to the stage and played some numbers before Jerry Lee appeared and showed that nothing has changed when it is all about rocking. The show was good, better than expected if you already know that he doesn't stay for long on stage...The audience welcomed the songs -some very well known by Elvis fans- like Blue Suede Shoes, Pledging My Love, Johhny B. Goode... He finished his performance with two his immortal hits: Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On and Great Balls of Fire...

As soon as he left the stage, with his entourage, he headed to the car waiting for him. He politely rejected the attempts of people for talking and receiving autographs. He only stopped for us, listened to us, talked to us, examined the plaque we were presenting and thanked. We were lucky enough to shake hands with him. He left right then.
